Back in 2016 we released ‘Common Impairments’ by a French band called Drawbacks… they’ve been hitting the roads loads since and are finally back. We’re happy to announced we’ll be releasing Drawbacks’s new album ‘How We Feel’ on yellow 12″ vinyl this fall.
Drawbacks is European’s answer to bands such as Defeater, Verse and Touche Amore. ‘How We Feel’ was recorded in France in 2018 and mixed and mastered by Jay Maas in Boston early 2019.
Enjoy the first track ‘Basics’ streaming over at Idioteq.com.

TORPOR will release their genre defining second album, ‘Rhetoric Of The Image’ on September 20th 2019 on 2×12” vinyl. Having the band over in the Netherlands on multiple occasions, including playing at the legendary Incubate festival (RIP), we’re so excited to be a part of this release.
Pre-orders for the vinyl, pressed eco-friendly with scraps as to create different color combinations, launch this Thursday, July 25th on Truthseeker Music, The Sludgelord, Smithsfoodgroup DIY, Moment of Collapse Records and Medusa Crush Recordings. Steam the first track over at Cvlt Nation.
“From the chiming, labyrinthine melancholia and claustrophobic depths of ‘Benign Circle’ to the achingly slow unfurling and savage, lumbering swing of ‘Enigmatic Demand’, ending climactically with the achingly beautiful, hypnotic and unstoppably triumphant drive of ‘Mourning The Real’, all tied with a harrowing, guttural vocal lament. This is the sound of a band continuing to push themselves into ever higher sonic climbs; the trembling, swelling synths, spoken word poetics and clean vocal melodies of ‘Two Heads On Gold’ and ‘Mouths Full Of Water, Throats Full of Ice’ extending tendrils into lush, cinematic soundscapes, providing caesurae from the raging, bleak tempest of their heavier depths.”
Blackened HC from Northern France. Lille’s Barque were recommended to us by a friend and we were hooked from the start. Until about five years ago this genre of music was commonplace in the western Europe metal scene but it somehow got away as quickly as it rose to prominence… until Barque. Second EP ‘Pyre Builders’ is a gorgeously LOUD and harsh effort. Released with a host of other DIY labels, in true punk fashion.
Red 12″ with black splatter vinyl, or Swamp green eco 12″ vinyl available. We’ve also got our copies of Second Guessing’s fantastic new EP in, on black 12″ vinyl with screenprinted B-side!
